Sanchit Malhotra | Director

 

Sanchit Malhotra is a third year Computer Science undergraduate student at Georgia Tech. He plays guitar, violin, piano, a smattering of tabla, and has had training in Hindustani Classical vocals. He particularly enjoys composing and recording music, blending facets from his Western and South Asian musical roots and is the music director of a South Asian Fusion A Cappella group, Taal Tadka. He also enjoys taking long naps, playing amateur tennis, and Spongebob Squarepants.

Siddhant Chawla | Logistics

 

Siddhant is a 3rd year biomedical engineering student at Georgia Tech. He learned the veena for 5 years and taught himself the harmonium. He is fascinated by the number of unique instruments found in Indian music and how they can speak to each other when performed together. He secretly hopes to own them all one day. In his future house, he envisions a shrine for his instruments alongside displays for his ever-growing collection of superman action figures.

Pooja Vaidya | Marketing & Design

 

Pooja Vaidya is a 3rd year student at Georgia Tech majoring in Industrial Engineering with a passion for International Affairs and Marketing. A dancer since the age of 5, Pooja recently completed her Bachelor of Arts in Kathak and is pursuing her Masters in the same. She is fascinated by how discipline in a classical art form redefines one's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual layers. Good music, history books, strawberries, juvenile jokes, painting, and wisdom from her young students complete her life.

Arvind Narayan | Publicity

 

Arvind is a 2nd year student at Georgia Tech majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Discrete Mathematics. Arvind has been learning the mridangam for 11 years, and he also plays ghatam, kanjira, and tabla. Arvind sees percussion as an elegant way to count and celebrate the passage of time in music. Arvind enjoys good movies, lo mein, and air guitaring to Taylor Swift.

Neil Prateek Viswanathan | Finance

 

Neil is a fourth year BME and Pre-Law major who has been involved with music from his childhood years. He began piano at the age of six, and soon after that he began to learn Carnatic classical music on the mridangam. He subsequently transitioned into western classical percussion, playing in his school bands. He currently plays and teaches piano, and plays percussion for Georgia Tech's Marching Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble. Due to his diverse experience, Neil displays an understanding of music from multiple cultures. He loves to write books, read books, and play any sort of music. He also published a novel.
